Mashed Sweet Potato Recipe

A creamy whipped sweet potato recipe.

Some sweet potato recipes are overly sweet. Not this one. With just a touch of brown sugar, this mashed sweet potato recipe makes a great side dish at any meal.

Serve these sweet potatoes with beef tenderloin or chicken breasts with wine and fresh green beans with sea salt.

Mashed Sweet Potato Recipe

Place sweet potatoes in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium and cook 10-15 minutes or until tender when pierced with a fork. Drain and place potatoes in a large mixing bowl. Mash with sour cream, butter, salt and cinnamon. Transfer to a serving dish. top with Brown sugar and walnuts.

Serves 8.
